New to the forum - opinions please

Please find attached images of two badges. I have owned both for a number of years. The RSF must be over forty years in my possession; the Scottish Horse at least twenty. I think the latter may be a collar badge.

Anyway, I would like to set my mind at ease having read of the pitfalls so I hope my collection will not now be decimated!!
