RN Clearance Diver question
I recently acquired a joblot of RN Clearance Diver badges and within the lot there was a subdued badge for a chief-party office supposedly for MTP kit , is there any such issued item.

Hi Dee
The Multi-Terrain Pattern (MTP) is the standard camouflage pattern of the British Armed Forces. Multi-Terrain Pattern fabric. Hence the badge would be worn if the person was wearing MTP uniform. Epaulette badges for RN personnel when wearing MTP fabric. |

Those shown were for the Combat Soldier 95 Uniform which did not have shoulder straps. As far as I know the specialty badges have not been issued in either MTP or subdued. However there are many private purchase badges on the market. Marc

IMO it looks like the black in OG insignia found for use by Royal Marines. I’m no expert though mate.

Tailor Lee also made subdued black-on-green ‘Royal Navy Commando’ titles in the same style before the official subdued versions became available.
