Default Pay Pal issues

Hi
Just noticed a trend from PayPal of not drawing funds from my bank account for badge payments and using the back up card even though there sufficient funds available in the bank .
When I spoke to them they refused to comment other than using "security issues" as the reason and were pretty rude about it . My concern is that paypal gift would incur interest from date of transaction and this could be a way of preventing the option of gifting or P.P making money from every activity.
As far as I was aware the account holder should be able determine how payment is as long as funds are available .
Has any one else had similar experiences??

Paypal INHO are a dodgy organisation.

I recently did a payment ($70) using Paypal to pay some badges from an online shop and for no good reason they just made it pending invesitgation and then reversed it (ie cancelled the payment).

Needless to say, the vendor and I weren't impressed. I ended up doing another payment and that went through with no issues.

Certainly not the actions of a reputable financial organisation.

Yes, also they don't take the money from the bank for several days after the supposed 'instant payment". Every other card payment I make goes out by the next day at most. Its cost me a few bank fees.

Default Pay Ponce

They have annoyed me just enough for me not to lie down and take it
I have requested the transaction information under the data protection act and spoken to trading standards, who claim that Ebay/paypall are being investigated for breaches in the consumer legislation . One of which was allegedly advertising for a client selling fake Oakley and Rayban sunglasses .
Apparently if the vendor lists payment types accepted and there are no funding issues, the customer can chose which method of payment used not the vendor
will let you know how it pans out .
