Default Airborne Beret

I would appreciate the opinions of the forum regarding a 1944 dated Surpak maroon beret please. Original or fake?

Thank you for looking, Keith

Just on first glance, the markings inside don't look consistent with other wartime examples, i.e.

Not a wartime supak, which should have a white line running above the makers logo, the size and date stamps look wrong as well as the shape is not correct IMO
