Default 12 Lancers

Hi All
Just picked up this 12 Lancers officer's badge which I thought I'd share. Can anyone tell me the dates this was in use please? I believe it was the early version which then changed to the crossed lances type. K&K don't give dates for the usage etc. Also, any idea of the value if possible.
Thanks in advance. Cheers,
Alex

Gaylor states the change in badge design happened in 1903.

Hi All
Thanks for the replies, very happy with this find!

-3748H - Thanks, that sounds like it is rarer than I'd thought, so appreciate the comment. Yours is a stunning example as well! I am pretty sure mine is solid cast silver and not plated, so happy with that.
Cheers,
Alex
