Royal Marines Badge
Hello everyone,
I recently found this badge on ebay and was not sure if it is genuine. Anyone able to pick a fake? Dan |

Beware
Dan, I'd be wary of it for a couple of reasons. Firstly the seller is based in HK and has a negative feedback for a fake badge.
Secondly the badge does not look correct in at least two aspects: twisted fixings and lack of gilt on continents of globe Ray |

I would agree with what Ray has said and would not buy this item from this seller. There is another reason as well, if you go to wyedeanstores.com and search for Royal Marines Helmet Insignia you will find this exact same badge for £20.54 (about 1/5th the price of the eBay item). Wyedean do supply the UK armed forces with insignia but I do not know if this is current issue. Paddy |

More and mores items of British Armed Forces badges and equipment are being made in China.

As well as India!
Never mind, that's the free market for you. |
