Default Duke of Lancaser's Own Own Yeomanry

I'm probably being thick but can anyone enlighten me as to why the Duke of Lancaster's Own Yeomanry wore RTR collar badges and the RTR tank on their blues as shown here? I can find no formal link between the DLOY and the RTR.
