Default 1st Light Railway Operating Company

Hello All, I am over 70, and I have just last week discovered that my Paternal Grandfather, 2272 Francis William Jones served in WW1.

My question today is, as he was in the 1st Light Railway Operating Company, would he have worn Royal Engineers badges or would he have worn the Rising Sun.

I have a picture of him showing rising sun collars, but I suspect that was when he first joined in 1917.

Phil.

He would have been issued with Rising Sun badges.

Here is his ADFA DB record: https://www.aif.adfa.edu.au/showPerson?pid=157263
