Default Mystery Helmet

Hello Everyone

A fellow i usually purchase firearm parts from got in a stock of helmets mixed in with his usual surplus. Can anyone tell me who still uses this style of helmet? Appears to be grey felt and are wrapped in brown packing paper from storage. I've had one sent to me so i'll post more pics when it arrives.

Cheers
Chris

These helmets were made by Christy & Co. Ltd., for the former Yugoslavian Government in the 1970's. I was actually allowed to buy one from the company at the time of their manufacture. Whether they were actually shipped after the order was completed I know not. They were supplied without badges, which were intended to be fitted when they reached Yugoslavia.

Dave.

I believe these were also worn by an American Force, exactly which one is eluding my memory right now.

I never would have guessed that this would have been commissioned for use in Yugoslavia. Very interesting.

Cheers
