Question KRR suspect

I also bought this badge yesterday which looks in an unissued condition, the solid centre somehow along with the crown does not look correct to me, is this a makers variation or a modern copy?

Any ideas appreciated.

Default KRR

Tim,

Many thanks for posting your Birmingham Mint badge, mine looks similar and I think it's the same, I may keep it as I collect KRR as it has family connections, although the slider could come in for repairs.
