Your MGC badge is fine, but the top of the crown looks to be damaged or miss struck? Hang on to it until a better example comes along.

HI there and thank you , I own this badge and plan to sell it ( any one interested please contact me ) now that i know its genuine, it came in a bicuit tin of military insignia from an estate sale but as always the odd fake can creep in glad its ok ,it was the colour through me abit .

I understand what you mean about the crown but having just imspected the badge its not damaged it has been bent to shape and both the barrel ends and the tip of the crown have been folded over perhaps to dig in an secure it to the cap ?

many thanks
