Default Another Glider Pilot Regiment - Righteous or Not?

Another Glider Pilot Regiment badge. Acquired in 1976. Satisfied with font and spacing of the letters and pebbling in scroll. Limited concern about attachment points at beak and tail. Any and all assessments greatly appreciated, with thanks in advance. Hope resolution is sharp enough for keen eyes.

Default Slider?

The slider on that badge is the easiest way to tell it's fake, is it not?

This is the most commonly found replica; you can tell by the diagonal lines on the eagles' legs. The wm examples are supposed to have a slider.
Original ones can be found for instance here and here.

Default Glider Pilot Regiment badge

Hi
I would welcome members' views & comments on this badge. I note the diagonal lines on legs extend further up the body. Makers variation??
The slider is Gaunt without a dot.

I just purchased one of that type in an auction lot. A mixed bag of badges sold as "some copies" so was not expecting these to be good.
The AAC I believe is condemned as a copy on here.
The GPR? Looks like one of our local seagulls. but why the number stamped into the slider - elaborate fake?

Actually, it incorporates the QC die but with a KC. Could there perhaps have been a transitional pattern between the normal KC and QC versions? I presume though, that if this were the case, there would also be in existence an a/a version!

That's too much speculation if you ask me.

What harm is there in speculating? I see it as opening a door to further research, and if anything worthwhile comes of it, there you are! If nothing comes of it, no one is the loser.

No harm, but were's discussing cap badges and not Schrödinger's cat.

It is possible that a sealed example of the QC badge has been made; but there is no evidence it was ever taken into production.

Malc, that is a replica I'm afraid.
