I'd never make an engineer
This afternoon, just in case I was enjoying myself, I found a box containing 'Lego type' bricks (102 of them to be precise) plonked down in front of me with a very heavy hint that I might wish to construct the model shown on the front of the box (please do not ask why!!). Having read the instructions several times and reassured by the statement that the model would take about 15 minutes to complete, I set to with relish. Three and a half hours later -including the times that I had to sit down to calm myself, the time to reassure my wife that it was perfectly reasonable to curse and swear as I had done for the last hour, the time rereading the instructions and viewing the helpful(?) pictures from every angle and the half hour on the telephone discussing the several complex issues arising at each stage of the construction with various skilled people - the task was complete! I stood back and admired my efforts. I confess I was feeling just a little smug and satisfied that I had overcome all major obstacles....perseverance had brought its reward. Then I picked up the box and read .......'This model kit is suitable for children of 6 years of age!!!'

We done Charlie...
Don't we all regress back to our childhood sooner or later... The older I get (I'm not old ) the more I'm looking to the past. Cheerio, Roy

Is it my eyes, or does the helmet on the right look post war??
Very funny, and I can empathise completely. |

'Who Dares Wins', James. Well done that man.
Do I sense the possibility of a whole new area of badge collecting headed your way? IMG_3449.JPG Cheers, JT |

And what does he have in his left hand? It's either a mobile phone sold to him by Del Boy Trotter, or a planet-vaporising ray gun salvaged from the Death Star! JT |

Nice one JT.....I had assumed that they had slipped in Frank Spencer wearing his beret and carrying a powerdrill and toolbox.

It looks suspiciously like the guy who designed the SA80 has got into Toy design now - Well done completing it, but you can't beat Airfix.

God forbid that anyone would let me loose near glue. I dread to think of the consequences! I do have to say that the guy on the vehicle looks quite a cool dude.....what with his shades and all!
