Yes matti, it must have been made the same time as the ROAC badge and buttons to have the same lugs so would this have been badge no 2 or made with it for the trials if the ROAC is supposed to be the first.

What a great find. The SWB in all gold is the same trial badge judging by the lugs, as the RAOC.

good spawny bit of work there mate . . congratulations! To reiterate comments by good members above . . . they are still out there to find. The SWB may well break a few moulds and theories. There were a few problems with early anodised buttons. One would suspect that they are the earliest versions. Bess |
