Default Air Defence Cadet Corps Badge

Hi All,

I've just picked up this badge and thought it might be of interest.

I knew about the ADCC from Jon Mills book but I haven't seen the badge itself before and the one in Jon's book doesn't have the wreath.

If anyone knows what the additional wreath is for I'd be interested know.

Michael

I think it is for instructors/senior officers.

Dave.

That's great, thanks a lot.

He wanted £10 for it but I managed to get it in exchange for a couple of badges from my swap box so I think I've got a bargain.

Thanks again,

Michael

A nice find. Herewith a picture of it being worn.

The ADCC is a little known aspect of the Home Front.

Perhaps we can share some more pictures?

Jon

What a coincidence ! I have just picked up this Air Defence Cadet Corps badge in Durban. Who knows how it got here .
Well done with your find , Michael. I'm sure that they are not that common even in the UK as I believe that the unit was only in place from 1938 to 1941, when it became the Air Training Corps.

You did, I think mine cost nearer £60 and these officer badges don't show up all that often.
