Croix de Guerre Recipients
Does any know if there is way to check recipients of the Croix de Guerre?
There is a list on wikipedia, but I'm not sure how complete it is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croix_...n_World_War_II thanks Paul

Hi Paul,
As far as I know, there is no central archives related to Citations for the Croix de Guerre. Thousands have been awarded at different levels : army, division, brigade, regiment ... Best regards .. Herve |

Hi Paul
I may be missing something but note the Wiki list is of 'notable recipients' - It would in deed be interesting to know if there is any equivallent to the 'London Gazette', although Herve's response perhaps suggests not. Mike |

Hello Paul, this may interest you it's from the Military Historical Society 1973. As you are in Cheshire, it may interest you that the 9th & 12th Cheshire's were awarded it.

If there was an accessible on-line list it would be quite long.
