R.E. economy
I received this badge yesterday and I believe it's a 1916 economy issue. However I'm wondering if there is any problem with it being a restrike. Any comments are appreciated... thanks.

That looks perfectly fine to me. The style of the slider and the reverse detail all point to a genuine economy badge. For what its worth I would have it in my collection.

Jim,
I agree with Alan its A OK, how deep is the crown? It's a bit hard to judge from the photo you have up but it should have a bit of depth to it being from that date unlike most later GviR ones. Cheers, Luke |

Anyone know why the badge I am showing below has 2 holes drilled into it? Would this activity have been a squadie practice or some other practice? Also, does it alter the value of the badge?
