Worn quite commonly in REME on coveralls and denim tank suits as they didn't soak up the oil. I have seen 1 , 2 and 3 bar versions.

Didn't the Catering Corps wear them on their whites? I imagine those in the RLC who are cooks still do.

Sorry, Griff, didn't mean to associate the cavalry with the Catering Corps!

David,
I'm sure the Catering Corps won't mind, they are after all senior to the Yeomanry Cavalry!

Brass ranks badges were worn by NCOs in the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps on coveralls in the 1950s and 60s.

Hi Griff

Well done, a brilliant riposte! Andy, perhaps you should try the Royal Tank Regiment next, it's a close run thing.

Best wishes to you both
