It does not look good to me, I would like to have seen crisper detail, in particular to the Bird's mouth and the baby in the basket?

There are some nice ones here!

Default L/pool Pals Badges

Hi Hoolley,
Here is an image of a cast Pals badge with lugs, a Die stamped one post 1916 with slider, and 2 collars on the left also die stamped. Any die stamped pals badges with lugs are generally regarded as collars and can be the same size as the badge, they all face left to the looker as this is because of the use of the heraldic crest in this case Lord Derby's.
The collar badges are rarely sold as such and are often described as cap badges.
I hope this helps
Paul

As I've already communicated to Charlie this item is (based on) an officers SD collar badge - it has a gap between the eagles' legs. Paul has pointed out and illustrated the sort of thing I had I mind at top right in the last post.
But if the front is "WM" (or silver plate) then it has been made into a sweetheart badge but I'm not very happy about the poor casting of the reverse.

Default L/pool Pals badge

I'm posting my Pals badge which came to me from an old collection and which I have no qualms about.
However, it differs from all the other examples shown in that it has 2 brass flat hexagonal lugs of the type normally associated with shoulder titles. Perhaps an expert on this can verify such usage?
Apologies as unable to clearly scan the back.

GTB

Like KLR, I am not too keen on the back, I've seen better looking collar badges and after looking at your pictures, I am thinking, yes, a collar badge, but, if you wanted a cap badge, then I do stand by my original thoughts.
Regards again Frank
