Default Dubious items

Do fellow forum members find the unusual (but identical) 'blades' rather unusual for the first four items listed?

The Leicesters officers`bronze` is interesting as it is bi-metal!?!? Even managed to get a die flaw to cross over from the wm section to the gm section!!!!

Yes.

Does anyone see anything a little wrong with this helmet plate that's also on the site?

too much silver plate! only the Y&L title should be sp, the rest gilt. Looks like a VB and regulars officers put together, holes to the back of the plate behind the rose are a clue. Back plate looks genuine i think as you can just see where it has been decapitated and the QVC swapped for a KC. Unless its just me.

Absolutely right! It's definitely a 'Frankenstein' example of a regular plate and a VB plate.

I have always thought the DLOY helmet plate ( based on one I used to own ) should have screw posts and not lugs.

Much to be unhappy about there, at eye-watering prices.

A dud 3rd Birmingham Battalion badge, with an all white metal badge with the attached g/m scroll for "3rd Birmingham", passed off as "an early variant" (no such thing);

£225 for a Warwicks' officers' silver and gilt badge - identical to my father's beret badge late/immediately post WW2. Over heated.

Likewise £120 for officers' bronze SD and £60 for a blues jacket collar badge.

And anyone who is seriously interested in the regiment does not call them "the Warwickshires". "Royal Warwicks".

Still there.

Depends on what you look at last before you click ont he link. When I clicked on your link, it took me to an East Yorks "Bronze", as that's what I just looked at.

Just clicked your link again and I got nothing, but when I search on the site I can find it.

Do we think "K.McDonald" could be a forum member?

cheers,

Default HPC's

I notice the Suffolk Regt HPC has two loops instead of the normal four "croquet hoops".
