No Frank, I will have to continue being a penniless struggling blogger/photographer a bit longer. Never mind something will turn up, and then there will be lots of nice shiny badges(or not so shiny) for my forum friends

On the plus side, I bought this, you have an RTR similar, do you not?

Oh that is lovely! Where, why, how much etc? I do have a very beautiful, similar RTR that was kindly given to me. Very nice Frank.

Where was merely a local antiques fair, I dare say it had been brought, or indeed, sent home, by a British Constable.
Why would simply be that I suppose they have not survived intact, in significant numbers, the local artisans in Jerusalem, Haifa and in particular, Bethlehem, made such brooches to order during both revolts, normally, upon just presenting your cap badge in order to copy. Sadly, a whole four pounds was the awful price. Frank feels most aggrieved! |

Frank should not feel aggrieved. Frank should be delighted. £4 for such a lovely thing I'd say was a bargain. And thank you for the information too.
Its very pretty Frank, look after it. |

Just browsing through this thread and there are some truly beautiful pins to see!!!!
A question, as I like ATS, I keep seeing sweetheart items for that unit, and wonder who they would give them to, as I see a guy giving his sweetheart one, though not necessarily he other way around? Also, ATS sweetheart badges seem to have a light blue color often used - is that color shade associated with them? Terry |

Enjoined looking back at this thread with some choice examples shown so thought I would add another, although this is an O.C.A. badge and not a Sweetheart. Well made and marked JR Gaunt London to the reverse.
Would be nice to see some others as Forum Members have time. Simon. |

Another King’s Liverpool Regiment. Commercially made from an officer’s button.
