Lancastrian Volunteers ?
I found this 8"x 10" picture in a local Antique Center today. It shows HRH Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother who was Colonel in Chief of The Kings Regiment.
The Officers to the left of The Queen Mother are wearing the cap badge of the Lancastrian Brigade/Volunteers and the collar badges of the Kings Regiment, whilst the officer behind her, who`s face you cannot see,is wearing the cap badge of The Kings Regiment and I think he might be Lord Derby. The Lt.Colonel next to the Queen Mother is wearing the Territorial Decoration which makes me think that this is a parade of the Lancastrian Volunteers. If anyone recognizes the location I would be pleased to know as it might help to identify the occasion. Thanks P.B.
