RAF Regiment WW2 printed Shoulder Titles
Hi,
I picked up a couple of these today and although I got a couple of thumbs up on them I cannot find on a search a similar type for comparison. (No problem on the red on khaki type!) Hoping someone can confirm or better still share or send me an image of one so I can be more than happy with them. Thanks Paul |

I think they're good Paul. Looks very much like my example.

Thanks Craig,
I was a bit surprised I could not find any others using an internet search. Interesting though that in their history they had a third of their strength transferred to the Infantry after the casualty rate in Normandy had risen and by all accounts acquitted themselves in the highest regard. Paul |

My printed example - subtly different from the others illustrated. On very coarse weave material, it looks locally made - in North Africa or Italy perhaps?.

Thanks Mike,
That is an interesting one, I wander if someone could identify the weave for the country of manufacture for you Paul |

I also seem to remember reading somewhere that a fair number of RAF (not sure if it was all RAF Regiment) were told to wear un-badged khaki, which didn't go down well with the troops. Regards, Craig |

Hi, here are mine, the blue is on the thinner material, the tropical on a thicker material. I think the Canadian forum said the thicker was later, best wishes Mike
