Major Arthur Thomas Searle Dickinson MID. 51st Sikhs (Frontier Force), Indian Army, attached as Brigade Major to 30th Indian Infantry Brigade, Indian Army. Death: 22 November 1915 Killed in action at Ctesiphon Mesopotamia.Missing in action. Son of the late Comdr. Thomas Searle Dickinson (R.N.), and Louisa Elizabeth Dickinson (nee Izat); husband of Eileen Constance Dickinson, of "Wyndcroft," Petersfield, Hants. Commissioned in the 13th Somerset L.I. Feb.1895. Joined the Indian Army,Oct.1899.Awarded the N.W. Frontier of India Medal with 1897-1899 clasp. Awrded the China War Medal,(1900) with Relief of Peking, clasp. Promoted to the rank of Major,Feb. 1913. Went to Egypt,Oct.1914, as Brigade Major to the 30th Indian Inf.Brigade. MiD. Went to Mesopotamia,Mar.1915,MiD. Took part in the battle of Nasiriyah. Killed in Action at Ctesiphon,Nov.22nd,1915.
