Captain (Temprary Major) Norman Chalmers Sparling, MID. 54th Sikhs (Frontier Force), Indian Army, attached to 6th Battalion, King’s Own Scottish Borderers. Death: 25 September 1915, Killed in Battle of Loos, Western Front.
Son of Lt. Col. James Philip Sparling (Indian Army) and of Lucy Mary Sparling (nee Ryan),his wife,of 11,Kingsley Terrace,Westward Ho,Devon.
