Angry G Barnes 16 Para Field Ambulance Help needed Please

Hello. I am trying to piece together more of George William Barnes service history. G W Barnes 6211697 .My understanding is that he saw service in Africa and Italy which would tie in with 1 & 6 Airborne . Can anyone please help me with any further details on George's military history. My understanding is that he was with the 16 Para Field Ambulance in August 1944 which I would guess meant he went into Arnhem in September 1944; can anyone please help me confirm this or not . Many many thanks.

He is not in the nominal roll of RAMC members for 17 September 1944 as compiled by the curator of the Army Medical Services Museum and published as Appendix IV in Red Berets and Red Crosses, although he states that: "Due to the passage of time there could be the odd mistake among the many names involved and the compiler would be very pleased to be informed about any member of the RAMC not listed."

Rgds, Thomas.
