Chromed rank badge
Hi, not quite sure where to put this, but as I hope it may be armoured I've put it here. Another pick up was this cast and chromed rank slide, the backing is dark green. Any ideas who, what, when? thanks in advance Mike

A bit shabby.... even for the tank park!? 5th Dragoon Guards possibly (backing colour)...... but I cant see that being worn?

Didn't the Catering Corps wear chromed rank badges? Do RLC cooks still wear them? I think Hodges' book shows some.

Yes but not to that style, or I think that early? and the crown is separate. Chevrons are tight together.
RAOC Butchers & Bakers also wore them as did WRAC in Shirt Sleeve Order. |

Hi, thanks for replies, the main point was that it had been made from a casting- quite crude at that. So probably M.E. or Indian made, Mike
