Default West Suffolk Militia

Hi Gents,

So here is my latest to add to my Militia Button collection.

Not perfect but I believe a pretty decent example - West Suffolk silver plated officers coatee button by Jennens. Size: 22.5mm.

This came as part of a trade, so very pleased. In fact I got two identical button, so now have a spare for trades..

Cheers, Roy.

Hi David,

Thank you for that, very helpful.

Just a reminder to all, that I have two of these, so if anyone has something similar to trade, drop me a line.

Cheers, Roy.

Hello Roy

Any interest in a coatee button, pre 1855, for the 2nd Somerset? Ripley 204, silver closed back approx. 21mm. My photo skills are not up to yours so the button is probably a little better than it looks! A little tarnishing (one I have not cleaned) and a little loss of plating on the highpoints but generally very nice condition.

If this is of any interest as a swap just let me know.

Roger

Hi Roger,

Yes why not old chap, I don't have that one, so happy to trade. See a couple of pics of my spare and if you're happy pm me to exchange addresses etc.

Cheers, Roy.
