Default Middlesex Militia

Hi Gents,

So continuing my sharing of my latest batch of Militia buttons, here is one to the Middlesex Militia (Ripley #152) by Firmin.

If I'm honest I must confess that this is perhaps not one of my most favorites designs but a solid example for my growing collection never the less.

Condition isn't too bad but some platting thinning to the high points.

Cheers, Roy.

Hi Roy

My, aren't we getting picky! It would look better with a QVC though.

Officers tunic button, that pattern worn 1855/1856 - 1881. Your button made right at the end of that period, mid 1870's - 1881.

Hi Dave,

Thanks mate. Yes a little picky I guess.. but I have a couple of crackers yet to photograph which make this one look a little plane.

Cheers, Roy.
