Hello All,

I ran across this web page and was wondering on your opinions.

I've also seen the site, but unless you open up a subscription, you probably won't get access to much. Any service records from WW2 are still only available from the MoD at a cost of thirty pounds or so, and it can take up to a year to get them.

I joined but couldn't leave and when I did everything I had saved was then not available to me as I wasn't a member, trying to contact them was impossible and got no replies from emails etc and boxes unchecked to stop automatically paying would be checked on the next visit to their site after being billed again, another forum member had the same issues as me.

I use them when I need to. I wait until I have a few people to research and then just pay for a once-off 30 day membership. More worthwhile this way.
Cheers,
Alex

I took advantage of the sites free access to Welsh regiments records on St Davids Day & found a record relating my father's wounding in 1944, so its worth paying attention to their offers & picking & choosing.

Thank you all for your responses.

I will have to consider what I really would like to do from here. I mostly collect Canadian stuff however have a small collection of British. To me, it sounds like I could invest my money more wisely.

Thank you all again

Chris
