Default identifcation please

Hi Chaps i have recently bought two Royal Marine cap badges both Kings Crown one brass with lugs and one Bronze with slider the first picture i have added a brass o/r for comparison, i think its an Officers badge can anyone verify this. Scots grey

I think they're both OR's badges.

Hi Tony thanks for you info but the second badge is definitely bronze did the O/R wear a bronze badge at any time, and did the officer ever wear a badge with the crown separately a two piece badge in other words. Scots grey

Both badges are Gilding Metal, there isnt a bronze badge shown?

Agree with the others , both are GM OR's, Officers wore as you say the two part badges, bronzed and Gilt/WM Globe finish as far as I'm aware.

Yep not bronze, the bronze one is a heck of a lot thicker and Officers badges are two parts.....

The ones I've seen have been lugged, strangely not seen a bladed one....

The Combat dress SBS badge in that list is afaik, a fantasy, same as the SAS ones.
