Non-badge thank you, to Phil2M
Although this is not a badge-related 'thank you' I feel inclined to post here on the forum by dint of the fact that my friendship with this particular thankee, (if that is a word) is a direct result of us having become acquainted through the forum.
On Tuesday, I happened to find myself in a bit of a pickle, whilst tackling that very British of pursuits, the Half way through installing a new electric shower this week, I suddenly found myself marooned without the adequate tools to hand to finish the job successfully, and with the prospect of an early finish, and lunch by the village pond at the Shoulder of Mutton, with cold beer in hand, smugly content in the knowledge of untold brownie points comfortingly deposited in the Bank of She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed, fast diminishing before my eyes, I reached for the emergency forum pal phone number, to beg and plead for assistance. I can tell you now, that forum member Phil2M, without a nanosecond’s hesitation, came flying to the rescue. Not only did he gladly offer up the necessary hardware for my unlimited use, but in his usual selfless manner, completely rearranged his plans for the day, just so he could rendezvous with me miles off his intended course, and hand over the tools. I have to say that this is not the first occasion on which young Phil has come to my rescue either. As anyone who knows him will confirm, Phil has a huge heart of gold, and is a true gent of the old school variety, happy and willing to do anyone in need a good turn at a moment's notice. They definitely broke the mould when they cast this one. This is the other side of the forum at its best. Thank you Phil. I’m not sure I shall ever be able to repay all your kindnesses. Hi JT,
Thanks for sharing that, a great story. It's always worth sharing such uplifting incidents in these dark time. Well done that man (Phil) too. Now if one of you chaps wants to pop over to New Mexico and help me with some jobs.... Cheerio, Roy

I agree with all the man said about young Phil, as I too have experienced his kindness, but I also know the chap who posted that comment has gone to very considerable lengths to do favours for others, including me.

Well, gentlemen, this is all very embarassing. I am doing nothing that the people would not do, and have done themselves, for me.
I am glad to have been able to help out. Cheers, Phil
