8th Army South African Signals sign
This badge was discussed back in September last year but with no conclusive result.
The 8th Army News paper of 27th October 1944 recorded that ‘The South African Signals element with 8th Army earned a battle honour of which it is very proud – a diamond shaped flash with a large 8 embroidered on it'. It was said to have been awarded by the Chief Signals Officer 8th Army. Does anyone have any further information of its origins and whether it was officially authorised? Jon |

Thanks. I had spotted that but wondered if anyone could add to the little it says.
