Default Fort Garry Horse badge - Gaunt marked

Here is a new cap badge pick up. Maker marked JR Gaunt London. Die struck in brass which appeared there was gilt at one time. Can anyone give me a time frame as worn or any other info appreciated.

Nice badge David. There are several threads on here about the Fort Garry's badges, and dating. There is some info in those.
