Default Home Front Section?

Can I raise as a topic for discussion - as my avatar shows I am well known for having an interest in the subject - of adding a separate section to the Forum for Home Front related queries.

Recent posts on the MTC and Women's Land Army and past posts on Civil Defence badges prove there are others interested who require information and although there is a Home Guard section such enquiries usually end up in the General Queries or fall into the somewhat nebulous Miscellaneous category. Ebay has a separate listing for Home Front items

I appreciate that this is the British Military Badge Forum but Home Front badges are a well established area of collecting that many military collectors come across from time to time and dabble in. I am also not aware of a Forum elsewhere for such badges - please redirect me if I'm wrong.

I would be interested to hear other members' views.

Jon

Default Home Front and Military badges

I have had an interest in Home Front and the badges of the regular forces for years, some of my collection comprises of family groups of badges and medals, some from the Home Front.

So yes, I would like to see a section on this form of badge/insignia collecting.

A separate 'Home Front' section is a great idea.

My thanks to all for the support. I'll let the thread run for a while longer before making an application. Can someone enlighten me as to who I contact?

Jon,

This idea gets my support, I have a few home front items and a dedicated sub section where all are located would be useful.

I like the idea, but I seem to recall Mike saying there can only be so many sub forums, would we have to lose one to gain one? Maybe this is just a glitch to my memory.

There is a "contact us" at the bottom right of the main home page.
