Default help with a ww1 silver war badge

hi all
im trying to find out if the badge is able to be researched so the recipient can be identified.
ive never taken much notice or interest before however the RAF prefix to the numbers has me interested. is this Royal Air Force?
any help appreciated

SWB records are available on line at Ancestry but just for the Army.

Yours is RAF and I dont think the records are yet available, but I could be wrong as its not my service of interest.

The records for Royal Navy (inc Royal Marines, RNVR etc) are also available online

Had a quick look for silver war badges bearing the number 9620 . Only record was for a 'Arthur Cross' of the Wiltshire regiment... No evidence of any badges listed with the prefix RAF. Can only conclude RAF records not digitised for access.
