As Phil says, but the start date is likey the early 80's. They are the Canadian Forces DEU long syle titles for wear on the CF DEU service dress tunic.

These titles would have been worn on the CF tunic which preceded the DEU. Phil

Knew I had the name wrong. CF service dress style tunic. Stupid armed forces, changning their uniforms so often. Lets see, first ptn CF 1968ish, and then the changed to a second pattern. Did the introduction of the winter DEU also bring back the epaulet, or was that another earlier change?

That title raises some questions. It is attributed to Brit construction and is an atypical shape. It has been associated with the Second WW era. To date, I have not found any evidence it was worn by the Irish. Their authorized title was the pattern shown below.

Some other Irish Regiment of Canada titles, including the WWII printed type. Any further info appreciated.

Thanks for the image. The titles with the more yellow embroidery are earlier isses, and of course the printed type is Second WW. The bottom right title is often attributed to the 2nd Battalion Irish Regiment of Canada (after they moved the regiment to Sudbury), but I have not been able to substantiate that to date.

Hi Danny, The dating would be 1960's through unification. (The reserves didn't get CF tunics immediately in 1968. It was several years for the new uniform to be issued to all elements of the reserves. By the mid 70's they were issued.) The CF long style embroidered titles started to come on issue in the 1980's.

Irish Regiment of Canada.
Knew I had this pic somewhere. Taken at Archives Canada, and shows the non yellow lettered title dated 1948.

Hi Danny, Yes I have seen that letter and sample as well. There is further correspondence in the archive's files. The colour was incorrect according to the Regiment. In 1952 the "correct" colour was acquired by the Irish. It was a more yellow shade of saffron. It is not clear from the record if the Irish accepted the pattern on the sealed sample.
At the time of unification, the Sudbury Irish were wearing the buff pattern. Note the colour of the embroidery on the GD/cadet pattern title that Ed posted. That was supposedly the colour authorized for them.
