Royal Signals 74 Con-Troop
I found this at Exeter car boot sale this morning, I will almost definitely be moving it on, but I need to know what the "CON" bit means and what date this would be. Its wood and measure about 8.5" x 9".
Thanks Rob |

1 Line of Communication Signal Regt is dated 1942-3 by the site above. Con = control maybe? |

I may have found the answer, larger signals units have a "construction" company which seems to be for line laying and maintenance, so this could be the Officer Commanding, 74 Construction Troop, 1st Line of Communication's Signal Regiment.
Can anyone confirm the period of use? Rob |
