Default RCAF Pilot wings.

Hello All,
Although not of the best quality I understand these should be considered as honest WW2 era wings.
Am I correct ?
Thank you for your thoughts.

It looks the same as some I have in my collection, and they are supposedly 'legit'
If the price was right, I would buy it =P

Why are "padded" wings attracting premium prices?

Well Mike..the urban legend is that "padded" wings were private purchase (like from Scully in Montreal) and so better made and more attractive and gave a 3D effect once put on a uniform......compared to the "issued" wings which were given at QM stores which were flat and flimsy.

Thank you for these interesting information.
Any further comments on the wings? - Shall I consider them legit?

I would say the wing is fine. I believe that this style is typical of "parade" wings pinned on during graduation; perhaps one the proudest moments of a trainee.
