If they are white metal then they are pre. 1935. Not seen too often!

Default And another...

Good to his word, Irv, who said earlier he'd keep his eyes out for anything IOW related, gave me a call. Another old Police Force button - think it may be local? Sure enough a ground dug Newport Borough Police Force button from Firmin & son, London. Couple of beers and it's mine.

I wouldn't have known what it was except for the photos Dave posted. It only says "Police Force" on the button with a sailing ship in a shield crest at its centre.

It isn't the prettiest but I'm really pleased. Thanks Irv.
