It's often worth looking to see what other items the seller is listing! Most of which is "Tat".. I'd save my money on this one, although you cannot see the back the lugs appear to be rather low? On the originals I've seen they tend to be central to the body!

Andy

For me the rear definition isn't promising.

Well I like the colour of the lugs but agree with Andy on location, East lug as viewed from the reverse should be roughly in line with the bottom of the tusk.

G'day Bobbydog

Ive had a look at the photos of this badge and dont like it at all.

I have an origonal Australasian and British African, both of which have e - w lugs but are in different positions on the back of the badges on account of the different shapes of the 2 badges. I cant comment on the position of the lugs on yours.

Both of mine are very dark in colour but of different colours, the rear definition is very good on both and the backs are a dark colour also. I think that yours is far too yellow.

I also have a repro Australasian which has N - S lugs and is very yellow front and back although the rear detail is good.

A New Zealand member posted photos of 2 Kings Colonial badges a while back, both were very yellow and had N - S lugs and l reckon they were repros also.

I hope that this helps

Regards

Phil.

Default go for the cardigan

My advice is, go for the gold coloured cardigan, It's probably worth more than everything else put together.

I have seen another original for £145 so I don't think the £115 is unrealistic! I don't suppose anyone else on the forum has an original one for any less!!
