Yes, I've seen photos of this pattern Torin on the King's Own Museum website, labelled as circa 1890's.
Edit - similar cap shown here: http://kingsownmuseum.com/mus03headwear004.htm Last edited by leigh kitchen; 27-04-18 at 07:43 PM. Reason: Because predictive thinks Torin is Toronto. |

I love his detailed descriptions!! Clearly a knowledgeable collector/dealer.
Another chancer using our knowledge for his financial benefit, but in his case, not very well, and his prices are of course greedily ridiculous. If he posts again just highlight this behaviour if you see it and ignore him. regards

I wonder if he has inherited a militaria collection and is looking for descriptions and valuations before selling it off.

This member does the same on a number of forums, asks lots of questions before listing for sale, I stopped answering years back.

And it is now a Torino.
Has he ever thanked Forum Members for any assistance given? What a mug. If a seller, or in fact anybody who advertises anything, be it a tradesman or any profession, can't describe items for sale or what is being offered as work or whatever, correctly, is, in my opinion slapdash and or lazy. As a consequence, I wouldn't trust them as they don't inspire confidence. Regards. Brian |
