Default Canadian Black Watch unsure of authenticity and vintage.....

Hi Guys,

Bought a set of medals to the CBW a while back and grabbed badge to go with it, but now not sure it is 100% pukka, looks too new for a KC.... Any ideas?

Edit, perhaps this should go in the fakes and forgeries section? If a mod wishes to move this please do

ATB,
Tom

Hello Tom, can't see anything wrong with this badge. It's available at all badge shows in Canada and, no known repros have been seen up to now.A common badge,in fact.
Cheers
Jo

Tom,

You can rest assured that yours is a genuine 1939 pattern badge. It's WWII vintage. There are 3 types of Wartime issues.

There ARE, however, reproductions about. They seem to be emanating from your part of the world...

Ok now let's see the rest of the group...or have I already? (privately engraved set?)

Adam

There are some slight differences in the two badges shown, but all look good & as Adam says there are 3 different types.
