It should be noted that many Cdn MG Corps members wore the imperial pattern badges, as shown in Lt. Mitchell's image.

Imperial pattern on the cap and on collars the Canada banner. I have a recent acquisition of an imperial pattern MG cap with makers mark "W Scully Montreal".

Don, there is some evidence in archives that the Scully produced that pattern after the war. It may have been both a wartime and postwar badge. There is correspondence in the CMGC file indicating they were not going to wear CMGC badges with the Canada banners.

Default RCR Collars

The other interesting bit (for me) out of this great set of pictures is the orientation of the RCR collars on Maj Bouchard's uniform. I hadn't realized that they were worn slanted up at a 45 angle. So much to be learned from the archives.

Major Bouchard's wearing of the collars in that manner may have been a personal affectation. The correct way would more than likely be as shown on the uniforms of these three brother officers (and brothers).

The cap badge of the 78th? this one comes from the Pas de Calais in France.

The image posted by Blackadder shows the correct manner of wearing the collar badges. As indicated, officers had more leeway in dress as illustrated by Maj. Bouchard. (Or, were less likely to be corrected if they wore them in correctly.)
jean-paul, are you asking if the 78th badge is okay?

jean-paul, I would want to see the reverse before giving an opinion.
