No idea, sorry. But what a fantastic piece. King's Shropshire Light Infantry obviously, but no idea what or what for. Hope someone comes up with an answer for you. Mike

To me it looks like a piece of locally made decorative brass wear. Possibly made as a souvenir for the troops to take home.
I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be able to provide a better answer but it will help if you can post an image of the reverse of the item. This will help indicate the construction and possibly the quality. |

Hi Gents,
Yes, a lovely piece this is. I can't say I have ever seen anything like it before. Having said that, I would say a decorative (horse) brass is the most likely. What size is it? Cheerio, Roy

Interesting piece, if your hands happen to be the size of Trump's it is a VERY small item.
