Unidentified Victorian ? button
Good afternoon

It is a livery button of an individual who was a Knight of the Garter.
The centre probably has his crest, but it is not a very good picture. |

I'll look that up. These little buttons can be very interesting. The makers mark I think suggests pre 1890? But can't find much on the backstamp. Regards Martyn |

According to Military Button Manufacturers from the London Directories 1800 - 1899, the 15 Mill Street address dates it to 1884.
