Being offered by an American vendor, one of the white metal / slidered reproductions.

Seller does describe it as a WW2 Canadian parachute Regiment cap badge and therefore implies that it is original, oh dear!

Yes, and when I contacted him indicating it was a known, documented reproduction, he thanked me for my opinion.

Ambiguious Description Statements
The red flags should be flying high about this badge when the vendor cannot string more then four words together in a sentence and uses ambiguous description statements like, "I am not sure an expert on these items. I think they are original pieces but I am certain. I will let the buyer be the judge on their own from the pictures. This is a period original item."

Suitably vague. Anything could be a period original item.
