South African Signals Badges
Dear Philip.
Really excellent display. I like the way you have put the Arm Flashes and the Button Badges together. Really excellent display. Now you have to do the remaining eleven Arm Flashes and Button Badges you do not currently display. Good luck. Just thought I would add the Button Badge display I have hanging in the Hall. The Arm Flashes I display at the end of the African Section on my little web site. Best wishes and very well done Chris www.signalsbadges.co.uk |

Thanks Chris, yes I have a few of the arm flashes but some are proving to be hard to obtain, as are the button badges. You would have noticed there are a couple of wrong'uns (Button Badges) in the frame, but I have made the frame so that I can get at them to change to the correct button badges when and if I get them. I was also lucky enough to get another 1923 - 1961 Officer's Mess Dress collar badge so I now have a matching pair. I have quite a lot of badges yet to frame including, UK, New Zealand, Asia and Canada.
Thanks for your comments. Phil. |

I have added another frame to my South African Signal Corps display.
As and when I get 5 Shields and 5 button badges, I frame them up. Having a look at Chris Walker's button badges, it seems I have a few to get, they are proving to be hard to find, as are some of the shields. Also my South West Africa, and Zambia Signal Corps frame. Phil. |

South aFRICAN sIGNALS.
Dear Phil.
I am really most impressed with your latest set of South African displays of badges. You must have a very big house or a very understanding wife to be able to display all your badges that I have seen framed so far. Keep up the good work. Chris |

Very nice collections. I don't think I have ever actually seen an SA Signals 'button' badge on sale, so it amazes me how you guys manage to build such good collections of them.
Always great to see collections nicely displayed like that! Cheers, Alex |

Thank you Gentlemen for your kind comments.
Hello Chris, I have a small house really, but plenty of wall space, and yes the head of the house is very understanding. Thank you Roy, the South African badges look so good because they are the most colourful. Alex, thanks for your encouragement, yes, the button badges are quite hard to find now, I guess they are like the crown above the Jimmies, they always get lost. One of my other "hobbies" since retiring is framing. I have framed lots of sports memorabilia, pictures posters etc. etc. so it is just a natural progression that it spills over to my badge collection. Thanks again Gents. Phil. |
