Default Cap badge test strike plates

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112461213404

I bought one - but am sceptical given their commonalities and the amount the seller is offering at once.
Cheap enough that I don't mind.....
I would appreciate your thoughts.

A known repro merchant. Avoid.

The Wd and Butler marks are fake. Preposterous.

I have one of the Hertfordshire collar blanks that I bought a long time ago. There was a thread a while back;

http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...ighlight=blank

However, the addition of the highly dubious maker marks doesn't really offer (me, at least) any confidence in any of these blanks...

If you look at the two artillery blanks in the linked thread you will see that they are the modern 'tall orb' fakes which must cast doubt on some of the others.

My thoughts are simply that this is yet another seller that you should avoid.

Because you've won it you don't need to pay for it. Simply tell him its a spurious item, if he gets mouthy tell eBay.

Dave.

Default Broad arrow fakes

I think these come from the same rubbish source as the Broad arrow marked slider cap badges. Broad arrow was never used on this type of regalia i believe.
