Default Para beret with Fusiliers hackle

I have these maroon berets, one with Parachute Regiment badge and one with blackened Fusiliers badge, both with Fusiliers hackle. I have found some pictures of 4 PARA with this beret. But I cannot see if they wear Para or RRF badge, may be RRF one on the third picture. What do you think about it ?

Looks like a job for Tyneside Irish - I think he may even be in one of those photos?

The RRF badge & hackle would be correct in the beret, I don't know though whether the badge would be of the currently available black finished "proper metal" type or only of the black painted anodised aluminium type.

I would say that the RRF badge hasn't been fitted by a soldier as it appears to sit too low on the beret.

I've never seen a para lid with hackle. A day without learning is a day wasted.

It's only correct when the wearer is a member of the RRF, wearing an RRF hackle and RRF badge, serving in an airborne role.

The hackle and para regt badge is not correct.

One of the Btns of the RRF served in 5 Airborne Bde. Late 80`s early 90`s I think. You often see the yellow and red DZ patch for the RRF for sale.

Page 213 of the Airborne Insignia book briefly touches on this, a letter requesting the 10th Bn wear the Fusilier white hackle, however, it was never adopted.
